Kilimanjaro · Self-guided, done right

Everything you need to climb Kilimanjaro well.

The mountain is walkable. The hard part is choosing who to trust with it, which route, and how to not get knocked out by altitude. This kit is that decision, made.

What it is

The kit I wish I’d had before I flew

I summited via the Lemosho route and turned my whole Kilimanjaro cluster – the operator call, the route, the day-by-day, altitude, cost and insurance – into one done-for-you bundle, so you are not stitching it together from a dozen tabs the week before you go.

A guided Kilimanjaro climb runs $2,000–$4,000 per person. This is the decision-grade system that helps you spend it well, for $29.

What actually goes wrong

Why Kilimanjaro trips people up

01

It’s not fitness, it’s altitude

Most people who do not summit are not unfit. They go too high too fast and get knocked out by altitude sickness before summit night ever arrives.

02

The cheapest operators cut the wrong corners

A rock-bottom quote is paid for somewhere – porter wages, food, oxygen, safety margin. On this mountain, price is information, not a bargain.

03

Summit night breaks the underprepared

A midnight start, minus twenty with wind, six to eight hours up scree in the dark. The people who make it trained for the descent too.

Inside the guide

The calls you can’t afford to wing

  • Which operator to actually trust – how to read a quote, why KPAP membership is the fastest filter, and the questions that separate safe from cheap.
  • The route call – Lemosho vs Machame vs the rest, and why days on the mountain matter more than the scenery.
  • Altitude and Diamox – what actually prevents altitude sickness, and an honest read on the drug most people take.
  • The summit-night bail-out plan – the one skill that matters is knowing when to turn around, agreed with yourself before you start.

Why $29

You do not need a guided package to climb Kilimanjaro well. You need the right operator, the right route, a real training plan, and someone who has actually stood on the summit.

Guided package

$2,000-4,000

Someone else’s schedule, and often no real say in who runs your mountain.

Do it yourself

20+ hours

Piecing it together across a dozen contradictory tabs, and betting your climb on a quote you cannot read.

Questions

How do I get it?

It is an instant digital download. Buy it and you get all the files immediately, plus a link by email.

Is it printable?

Yes. The guide and all four tools are print-ready A4 – carry the packing checklist and the operator comparison sheet with you.

I’m not a mountaineer. Can I actually climb Kilimanjaro?

Almost certainly. Kilimanjaro is a walk, not a technical climb – no ropes, no ice axes. If you can walk five to six hours on consecutive days and you train for it, you can summit. The guide has an honest fitness read and explains why pacing beats fitness.

Will it go out of date?

You get free lifetime updates. Park fees, operators and routes change – when they do, you get the new files free, forever.

What if I get stuck?

Message me directly on WhatsApp before you go and I’ll help. There’s a real person on the other end of this.

Ready to actually climb it?

Get the whole decision system – who to trust, which route, how to train, what it costs – and spend your prep daydreaming about the summit instead of second-guessing a cheap quote.
